The causes of papillary dystrophy (dark pigmentation between the legs)

The causes of papillary dystrophy, also called acanthosis nigricans, are as yet unknown but there are several risk factors like diabetes, hormonal imbalance, heredity or the presence of tumors in the body. This skin condition is more common in the obese and, in some cases, type 2 diabetes. Acanthosis nigricans does not appear to be related to other diseases.

What are the symptoms of papillary dystrophy (acanthosis nigricans)?

Apart from the pubic and groin area, the acanthosis nigricans can also affect other areas of the skin, generally those comprising skin folds. This condition changes the coloring of the skin which becomes brown and thicker. Although these folds are not painful, in some people, they may be accompanied by itching, irritation and desquamation. If you experience any of these symptoms, make an appointment with a dermatologist for proper diagnosis to see if other health problems are not related to this skin coloring.

How to lighten the pubic area?

  1. Aloe Vera

To mitigate the naturally brown color, use aloe vera gel (100% natural and organic). This plant contains compounds that can repair and regenerate skin cells. Just apply a little aloe vera gel on the dark area and leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing with water. For best results, repeat this process every day and you will notice an improvement on your skin very quickly.

  1. Baking soda

This versatile product, widely used in cooking, is very effective to exfoliate the skin. Baking soda will gradually eliminate dark areas and the skin will naturally get original color. Indeed, by exfoliating the skin with a mixture of baking soda and water, you will effectively treat hyperpigmentation of the pubic area. Do not practice this treatment more than twice a week because of the abrasive action of the baking soda.

Mix baking soda and water in the proportions 2/1, so as to create a thick, smooth paste. Apply this paste on the affected skin and let it dry. Rinse with warm water. Repeat this treatment twice a week to achieve significant results.

  1. Lemon

Thanks to its high concentration of vitamin C, lemon has natural exfoliant and astringent properties. This citrus fruit is especially beneficial to remove dead skin cells, tighten the skin and lighten it. In summary: the lemon stimulates cell regeneration in that way restores the skin.

Rub a bit of fresh lemon juice on the pubic area for a few minutes. Then, leave the juice for about 20 minutes and then wash with warm water. Repeat this process several times a week to get quick results. You can also combine this recipe by mixing lemon juice with a little honey. Apply on the affected area. Let the product act for 20 minutes then rinse. Apply some cream to moisturize your skin.

  1. Cucumber

The cucumber has lightening properties. To maximize its effectiveness, mix some lemon juice with cucumber juice. The lemon will lighten the skin and cucumber will complement the action of the lemon.

You can also add a pinch of turmeric to this mixture. Turmeric will prevent the skin coloring, lemon will reduce staining by removing dead cells and cucumber will have a soothing effect. This treatment is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine. You can use it daily.

You can also cut a cucumber slice to rub the affected area and then apply a little cucumber juice on the skin. Guaranteed results in a few days!
