Obesity is one of the major diseases of our time. The World Health Organization reports that more than 1.9 billion adults worldwide in 2014 were overweight. This is a huge number, which represents nearly 40% of the adult population in the world. But worst of all – about 41 million children under the age of 5 were overweight in 2014!
However, despite these horrendous numbers, you need to understand that obesity is not always the same for everyone. According to a National Health Service in the UK, conducted at the University of Sheffield and the Harvard School of Public Health, there are six different types of people who are overweight. They are: young, healthy women; hard drinking men; poor or mentally ill middle-aged men and women; rich and healthy adults; physically sick, but happy elderly; and very poor people deprived of a decent financial security and health.
It is very important to understand the fat accumulation in different parts of the body so you can conclude what is the main cause of weight gain and therefore – to understand how to get rid of it. For example, a nervous middle-aged woman probably has a problem that affects her weight other than the problem her alcohol abusive man has. For them the solution to lose weight will be very different. However, the arrangement of both should include sports and physical exercises.

Fat in the lower abdomen is a common symptom of depression and anxiety. This type of obesity is best treated in two ways simultaneously: by removing the stress (yoga, positive, new courses) and exercise.
The big bulging belly and fat on the upper back is the result of a sedentary lifestyle. It is possible to witness how a person with this kind of distribution of fat will start to melt the love handles almost immediately after starting to perform regular exercise program for at least several days. A person with this type of obesity must maintain the blood sugar levels always normal. It is best to maintain the shape with fractional meals.
For all four types of obesity in the upper body it is recommended 30 to 60 minutes of aerobic activities five days a week with moderate intensity. Such activities include running, cycling, hiking and swimming. These exercises will help to reduce the fat around the waist and abdomen.
Obesity in the lower body is more common in women than in men. To treat this condition, women should do weight training and other exercises to improve the cardiovascular system. Obesity in the lower part of the body down to the bottom of the foot is most commonly seen in pregnant women. To combat this type of obesity it is best to consult a doctor after giving birth.
The consequences of obesity in different parts of distribution of fat in the lower body is often called pear-shaped figure. In this case it is recommended exercises aimed at burning fat in the thighs and buttocks. Such exercises quickly burn calories, reduce fat in the lower area of the body and improve the function of the cardiovascular system. It is important to remember that obesity is a disease, but the disease is treatable – depends only on you. The sooner you start paying attention to your body, the healthier you will for the rest of your life.
